From Concept to Launch: Developing a valuable user experience

Discovery
We begin every design process by getting to know you and your team, and learning more about your organization’s mission and values. After that, we dive into your target audience: who you are trying to reach, who you work to help, etc. The more we know about you, the better we can customize your web design to fit your specific needs.

Organization & Site Map
Both users and search engines rely on an organized sitemap to interact with your website. Before we enter the first line of code, we create an efficient hierarchal sitemap and menu system. This gives us the outline needed to create an engaging website.

Content Development
No one knows your organization’s passion quite like you, so we’ll work together to generate high quality content for each page added to the sitemap. Don’t worry if you’re having trouble finding the right words. We’ll edit and revise to be sure you make an impact.

Styling
This is where your website begins to take shape. Beginning with your primary landing page, we’ll combine the information from the discovery phase with the content to build basic page layouts. Then we add images, fonts, and colors to create a positive visual experience for your user.

Development
Once the basic styling is complete, we integrate custom tools such as donation forms, external links, and 3rd party apps (like Google Maps) to work seamlessly within your website.

Mockups
We submit a “rough draft” of your new website and scroll through the pages together, making notes of likes and dislikes. Tell us what works for you, but more important, what doesn’t. We’ll make design edits as needed and add the final touches for a website design you’ll love.

Testing and Launch
Before your website goes live, we run extensive testing on various browsers and devices to be sure your responsive website delivers as it should. We also use several metrics tools to optimize for speed, accessibility, and overall SEO performance. Once we know your website is secure and fully operational, we’ll schedule a launch time.
